Swim And Enter Raffle To Win A Volkswagen

The 6th Los Cabos Open Water Challenge will be held on April 27th in honor of Jaime Lomelín Gavaldón (shown on left with race director Diego Rivas). There are 3 races: 2 km, 7 km and 14 km.

Rivas says, "Swimmers can register and win a Volkswagen Gol sedan. The raffle will take place in San Jose del Cabo on April 26th."

Registration for the 2 km, 7 km point-to-point course and 14 km two-way course is at www.masnatacion.com.

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.

In fact, there is even one for open water swimming...
