Polizia Pair Win 2018 FINA UltraMarathon Swim Series

The Polizia di Stato is a national police force of Italy that is responsible for highway patrol, railways, airports, customs (together with the Guardia di Finanza) as well as certain waterways, and assists the local police forces.

Polizia teammates Barbara Pozzobon and Edoardo Stochino each won the 2018 FINA UltraMarathon Swim Series title that included the following three races:

#1 - 57 km river swim at the Maratón Acuática Internacional Santa Fe - Coronda in Argentina on February 4th
#2 - 32 km lake swim at the Traversée Internationale du lac St-Jean in Canada on July 28th
#3 - 25 km lake swim at the Ohrid Lake Swim Marathon in The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia on August 25th

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.
