Valle della Luna, Capo Testa

NAL Camp 2018 is an exclusive swimming camp limited to 10 swimmers in Sardinia that includes training, excursions, video swim, physiological and body analyses, testing, nutritional advice, yoga sessions, sea excursions, and time for relaxation.

The camp is held September 15th - 23rd 2018 in Santa Teresa Gallura by NAL organized in conjunction with the Gran Fondo Bocche di Bonifacio.

Swimming excursions are held in Capo Testa, Porto Pozzo and Santa Teresa Gallura, Marmorata.

Coach Alessandro Pilati explains, "Upon arrival, you will receive the basic integration products that you can use during the NAL Camp. The saline supplements, a water bottle, the substitutive solutions to the meal to be used for the extended outings, and a NAL Camp swim buoy will be distributed. All products are Herbalife, recognized CONI and used by the Italian Swimming Federation.

We will video your swimming and will analyze together looking for your strengths and weaknesses. Then we will improve your effectiveness in pool sessions.

We will conduct daily physiological analyses in the morning that will help decide how best to approach your athletic endeavors. We also offer bio-impedance analysis of the swimmers' body and the advice of a trained professional to improve your physical well-being and to improve the knowledge of how to integrate training with nutrition.

We also offer personalized advice on preparation for competition or swims and yoga sessions where swimmers will receive useful tips to improve basic conditions for breathing, flexibility, and concentration.

We will also go hiking 2-8 km in fascinating areas between Capo Testa, Rena Bianca, Porto Pozzo, and Marmorata over distances of 2 to 8 kilometers.

The swim excursion to Porto Pozzo is 6-8 km long depending on the route to be taken, and will be escorted by boats. The other swims are 2-4 km in distance. In Porto Pozzo, if possible, a group crossing will take place from the island of Spargi to Porto Pozzo

2014 Open Water Swimming Almanac

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.

In fact, there is even one for open water swimming...
