2019 U.S. Masters Swimming Open Water National Champs

The 2019 United States Masters Swimming open water swimming championship series begins on the east coast in Virginia and ends on the West Coast in Oregon:

U.S. Masters Swimming Middle-Distance Open Water National Championship
2 miles on June 1st in Lake Berryessa, California at the Lake Berryessa Open Water Swim

U.S. Masters Swimming 2-Mile Cable Open Water National Championship
2 miles on June 15th in Indianapolis, Indiana on a quarter-mile straightaway course

U.S. Masters Swimming Ultramarathon-Distance Open Water National Championship
10.7 miles on July 14th in Willamette River, Portland, Oregon at the Portland Bridge Swim

U.S. Masters Swimming Sprint-Distance Open Water National Championship
1 mile on August 16th organized by Kingdom Games in Lake Willoughby, Vermont

U.S. Masters Swimming Long-Distance Open Water National Championship
5 km on August 17th in Lake Willoughby, Vermont

U.S. Masters Swimming Marathon-Distance Open Water National Championship
10 km on September 22nd in the Tennessee River, Tennessee

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.

In fact, there is even one for open water swimming...
