2018 Winter Swimming World Championships In Estonia

Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, lies on the Baltic Sea and is the country’s cultural and winter swimming hub.

Home to one of the world's most renowned ice swimmers, Henri Kaarma (aka The Ice Machine), Tallinn offers a traditionally grand venue to showcase the world's best winter swimmers in March. 1,264 winter swimmers from 34 countries will compete in 13 different age groups in the 25m breaststroke, 25m butterfly, 25m/50m/100m/200m/450m freestyle, and 50m/100m breaststroke races. An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.
