Winning Ways In 2WW

The overnight 21.6-mile (34.7 km) BLDSA Loch Lomond Championship takes place every two years in August.

The event alternates each year with the BLDSA 2 Way Windermere Championship (2WW) that will take place on August 12th-13th this year," says Zoe Sadler, the British Long Distance Swimming Association Honorary Recorder.

When Rebecca Lewis walked onshore on August 2nd 2015, she set the ladies' and overall 2WW record in 8 hours 33 minutes.

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.
