2015 USA Swimming Open Water Nationals Course

The 2015 USA Swimming 10K Open Water National Championships will serve as the USA Swimming Trials for the FINA Open Water World Championship Team, the Pan American Games Open Water Team, the World University Games Open Water Team, the USA Swimming Open Water National Team and the USA Swimming Open Water National Junior team.

The course is shown above where the following men and women will compete for the coveted top positions at the Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club venue, with a live webcast available online via usaswimming.org.

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.

In fact, there is even one for open water swimming...
