The Most Interesting Man In The Open Water World

The Most Interesting Man in the World is an advertising campaign for the Dos Equis brand of beer. The ads feature Jonathan Goldsmith as "the world's most interesting man" and first began appearing in the United States in 2006.

The most interesting man in the open water world would have incredible talents and abilities; his characteristics would be superhuman; he would be one with the marine environment.

Dolphins ask to draft off him...
Sharks worry about him...
His Speedos are considered to be a small watercraft...
Michael Phelps retired when he started to swim butterfly...
His kick is measured in horsepower...
He breaks open coconuts with his bare hands...
His wake is the size of 6-foot waves...
He munches on jellyfish if they sting him...
The word hypothermia is not in his dictionary...
His sunscreen stays on 3 days in the water...
He doesn't need a tow-in a big wave surf spots...
His goggles can withstand the pressure of the Mariana Trench...
His ice swims are not considered extreme...
He considers the English Channel a good warm-up...
He kayaks with his hands...
He's got gills...
He can eggbeater completely out of the water...
He swallows gel packs whole on his feedings...
Portuguese call him a man o war...
His marathon swims are measured in days...
He does flip turns on rock jetties...
He never needs GPS...
His blood has a hint of chlorine...
His tears are made of salt water...
Mermaids flock to the shore when he nears the water...
He calls the 5 Oceans home...

...he is the most interesting man in the open water swimming world.

2014 Open Water Swimming Almanac

An Almanac for Open Water Swimming

An almanac is essentially a body of knowledge which is so complete that it enables people in different fields to make predictions about the future of their respective industries.

This, for example, was the purpose of the traditional farmers almanacs. It enabled farmers to determine as accurately as possible which crops to plant for the greatest harvests in a given year.

But the farmers almanac was just one example among many.
There are, of course, many different kinds of almanacs.

In fact, there is even one for open water swimming...
