Wild Swimming With Flashes From The Heavens

Diana Nyad continues to swim under the majesty of the sky, even if she is facing difficulties at sea level.

Fortunately, the number of box jellyfish dramatically fell on the second night of her swim between Cuba and Florida.

While the skies above her showered her with streaks of lightening bolts and howls of thunder, she entered the Gulf Stream which will simultaneously help and hinder her.

As the Gulf Stream pushes her northward, its mighty current will also simultaneously push her eastward. Over the next 24 hours, her final push to Floridian destination will depend on if she can cut across the fast-flowing Gulf Stream and make land.
