Dolphining or jumping out and over the surface of the water at the start and finish of open water swims is a key skill for competitive athletes. Dolphining should be long and flat dives with your hands overlapped and chin down in a streamlined position. As you dive below the surface of the water, remember to kick hard, either freestyle kick or preferably butterfly kick in order to maintain the momentum.Copyright © 2011 by Open Water Source
