Year after year a number of veterans keep coming back to the aQuellé Midmar Mile.
An incredible 16 individuals have swum 30 or more races in the 37-year history of the event. These include:
Mike Pengelly and Mike Arbuthnot - 37 straight years (100% participation in the history of the event).
Gail Bristow and Martin Godfrey - 36 years
George Watson and Walter Hat - 34 years
Anton Berry - 33 years
Jill Quicke and Mike Bath - 32 years
Barbara Bowley, Lawrence Schroder, Mervyn Bremner and Geoffrey Joliffe - 31 years
Carol Williams, Peter Foulis and Terence Fletcher - 30 years
A great history of this event; the 38th annual aQuellé Midmar Mile will be no different.
