Claudio D'ambrosio of Portici, Italy created the SwimTrekking Facebook Group where SwimTrekkers can share information.Swimtrekking is a new type of sport that gives the opportunity to explore the sea and to discover the coasts by simply swimming with the support of specific equipment.
Francesco Cavaliere, President of ASD Swimtrekking, explains, "In swimtrekking, swimtrekkers drags a hydrodynamically water-tight pack linked to their waists with a wetsuit, flippers, mask and nozzle. Inside the pack, the swimtrekkers stows all the items useful and necessary for their journey in the sea."
The next SwimTrekking event is Convegno Swimtrekking in Isola d'Elba in Capoliveri, Italy on May 21st. Sounds very cool to us.
